How to transform conversation with clients, team, and family in changing times
Welcome, and thank you for joining Upscaling Coaching Academy! This free mini-course will help you to become a better listener, companion and coach!
Greetings, friends! This is Iryna Zolotarevych! Did you like the self-diagnostic test? I’m sure that you’ve made many amazing discoveries about yourself and even practiced your coaching skills! In this third lesson we will look at conflicts and how you can avoid them by asking questions.
One of the best situations that can happen is an opportunity to work with an inspiring mature professional and eventually become friends or even business partners with this person. However, sometimes such people seem too harsh on us and sometimes we simply don’t dare to start communicating with them. And to be honest, we often just don’t notice great people around us.
This lesson is about conflict management and partnership. At the end of this lesson you will receive a test to complete an understanding of the essence of partnership.
Open as well as hidden conflicts interfere with work and development of the company, destroying personal relationships. Any interaction between people can become a conflict when participants behave in a direct or aggressive way: manipulate, condemn, speak without listening, criticize and do not formulate a specific request. Attempting to force another person into action leads to more resistance and tension.
The power of questions is evident to anyone who has ever taken an exam: who controls the conversation, the one who asks questions or the one who answers them? Practical questions stimulate the thinking process, allowing the interlocutor to lead to new ideas, get out of the deadlock, find unrealized opportunities and increase motivation.
